150TH ANNIVERSARY 2008
2008 is a very special year for The Tenbury Agricultural Society Ltd when we celebrate 150 years. The Society was formed in 1858.
A sub-committee has been set up to compile a Book on 150 years of life in Tenbury and the surrounding districts. Any old photographs, stories are welcomed for consideration. They can either be sent to The Tenbury Agricultural Society, 16 Teme Street, Tenbury Wells, Worcs. WR15 8BA or telephone David Spilsbury on 01584 781521. The book will be launched at our Tenbury Countryside 150th Anniverary Show on Saturday 2nd August AT 10.00 A.M.. Price will be £14.95. .
Social and Fund Raising Events for 2008 are:
SATURDAY 7TH JUNE - YE OLDE OX ROAST to be held at Netherwood Manor, Kyre,
Tenbury Wells from 6.30 p.m. Tickets £7.00 to include a beef bap or
beefburger/sausage roll. Children under 10 free. Bouncy
Castles. Entertainment at 8.00 p.m. with "3 Men In a Bow Tie".
Hereford Beast cooked over an open fire as our Society used to do 100 years ago!
Local ales, ciders, juices. Tea/Coffee. to include a
PROMISE AUCTION with promises to date of 2 x Beef Fillets; 2 x Half Lamb
