in Classes 75-119, by a person under 18 years of age on Show Day.

A PERPETUAL CHALLENGE CUP  (to be held for one year) presented by the TENBURY GARDENERS CLUB will be awarded to the child gaining the highest number of points in the under 5 years section.

Points to be awarded as follows: 1st 40; 2nd 30; 3rd 20; 4th 10.

 

NO EXHIBITS ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE MARQUEE UNTIL PRIZE GIVING HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

 

RULES FOR HORTICULTURAL SECTION

 

1. The Horticultural Committee (hereinafter called The Committee") shall have the entire control and management of the Show, including the power to refuse any entries they think fit.

2. Entries must be sent in and Entrance Fees paid to the Secretary not later than Tuesday.31ST JULY 2007.

3. Exhibitors must provide their own stands, plates, dishes, etc.

4. All articles exhibited for competition must have been grown by the Exhibitor, or must have been in his or her possession during the whole of the two months immediately preceding the Show; and any person exhibiting or attempting to exhibit specimens in contravention of this rule, unless otherwise stated, shall forfeit all claims to any prizes that may have been awarded to him or her and shall he debarred from exhibiting at any future Horticultural show held by the Society.

5. The Committee shall have the power to visit the premises of intending exhibitors and view the produce entered, and shall also have power to refuse or cancel any entry without giving any reason for their action.

6. A person shall he allowed to enter more than one exhibit in the same class. but may not be awarded more than one prize in that class.

7. The Show will he opened for the reception of exhibits from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. on the Friday prior to the show and from 7 am. on the day of the show. All articles intended for competition must he properly staged for Judging by 9.30 a.m. or they will be disqualified.

8. All vegetables must he properly cleaned and trimmed, unless otherwise stated.

9. The Committee will appoint such number of judges as they deem necessary to judge the exhibits at the Show. The Judges appointed shall have full power to award the prizes, or to withhold any prize when, in their opinion, they are not merited, and their decision shall be final. The Judges shall not he exhibitors in the classes which they judge.

10. No person except those officially engaged will be allowed in the tent while judging is in progress.

II. The Society will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury arising from accident or any other cause, to any person, animal or property on the Show Ground. All exhibits shown are at the sole risk of the Exhibitor.

  1. The horticultural Cups will be presented at 4.30 p.m. after which prize money may be collected. Exhibits to he removed after the presentation of cups and before 5.00 p.m. at latest. No exhibits are to be removed before the presentations.
